Pets are allowed at many of the hotels that cater to Grand Canyon visitors. As with many hotels, some have weight and number of pets limitations, but that will vary by hotel. As travelling with pets becomes more common, especially those who the love the outdoors, many hotels are being added to this list. Just remember to check on each Grand Canyon pet-friendly hotel's policies.
As for the Grand Canyon National Park itself, pets are allowed at the South and North Rims. They must be leashed at all times and may not be taken below the rim, inside buildings, or on shuttle buses. Persons wishing to take service animals below the rim must check in at the Backcountry Information Center. A kennel on the South Rim provides animal boarding.
Animals are not allowed at Grand Canyon West. Look for pet boarding in nearby Kingman or Las Vegas, or wherever your Grand Canyon West day trip will originate.
